Raising Sensitive Children

Many of the children coming in these days are more sensitive to subtle energies & their environment. That can show up as them being easily overwhelmed, frustrated often, more meltdowns, anxiety, sadness, etc. 

These sensitives can be exaggerated when they are in crowded spaces, there are too many planned activities, big life transitions, or there is more stress in the household. 

The ways to help your child regulate is to start by taking time to regulate your own emotions, schedule less activities, more quiet time, more space for free play, imagination & more time in nature. 

Being a sensitive child myself, I unconsciously was absorbing other people’s energies a lot of the time which led to me having a lot of anxiety. As an adult I had to learn how to protect my energy and do more things that help me clear it & feel grounded in my body. 

This is why I am doing the work I am now.. I want to give children the opportunity to see their sensitives as a gift and learn how to use it in a way that is beneficial for them instead of creating overwhelm. 

If I work with your child, some of the things I would help them with is learning to protect their own energy, teaching them tools to feel grounded (guided meditation, breath work, movement, nature time). Teaching them that empathy is a good thing, but you have to decipher what is yours to hold onto and what is meant to be let go.  

Since I understand th​is process on such a personal level, I would be able to help your child learn these tools and implement them into everyday life!
